It was such a blessing to hear from Elizabeth at our recent All the Feels virtual women’s event! Elizabeth is such a gifted speaker—she’s warm and engaging, and she shares deep spiritual truths in a very vulnerable and relatable manner. By the end of the time together, we all felt like we had become friends with her because of her level of honesty and her ability to relate to women of all demographics and backgrounds. If you’ve not had a chance to hear from Elizabeth, I’d greatly encourage you to invite her to speak at your next women’s event. You will not be disappointed!

Even through a computer screen, Elizabeth has a way of connecting with all generations and making you feel like you want to move to her city just so you can be neighbor-best friends. No matter where everyone was emotionally in our group, she has a magical way of making you feel seen and your emotions validated, while also directing your heart to God. Oh, and there will also be a lot of laughter along the way!

Elizabeth spoke to our women’s ministry on “All the Feels,” and it was a fantastic time! We were all intrigued with her stories and relatability to us in life. We were able to laugh and feel validated with our big emotions that our amazing God created. Thank you for leading our thoughts and feelings back to God and to see just how valuable we are to him.

Way back in 2019 we planned our When God Says, “Wait” Broward Church women’s event for March 2020. Bad timing, right? Despite a pandemic postponement, Elizabeth came through for us in a big way in October 2020. First, she filmed her message, delivering a stirring, relevant and engaging message to over 500 women—but she was actually speaking from her living room to a camera!!! How does she do it??? To make her pre-recorded message FEEL more like a real-time event, Elizabeth worked with us to engage in a Q and A with our members. Voila! Afterwards, members and visitors alike signed up for our online “When God Says” book clubs, eager to connect with others and learn more about waiting on God. Thank you, Elizabeth!

Our women’s ministry hosted an August 2020 women’s event via Zoom where Elizabeth was our featured speaker. She did a remarkable job of pulling us in and making us feel like she was right there with us. Elizabeth has a special ability to bring a Bible story like Ruth and Naomi to life and to help you relate to them and to learn from them. Following Elizabeth’s message, we had an opportunity to go into breakout groups and discuss the lesson. The women in my group were deeply touched and shared with laughter and tears.

Bring Elizabeth to your church group ASAP! She has the rare ability to relate to all generations and diverse groups. She takes the time to truly connect and relate to your group leading up to the event and especially during your event (and our recent event was 100 percent virtual). We were laughing and crying, all while going deeper to be better Christians and being honest with all our feelings. This was perfect for both those who have read the book, and those who have not.

Last Saturday the women at Northview Church enjoyed our first ever ZOOM event. Elizabeth Laing Thompson’s shares her powerful message, When God Says, “Wait.” It was the right message at the perfect time! We CAN do this! We CAN wait with scripture, deep fellowship, service and FAITH in our Father, our Mighty Warrior! It was an inspirational event which included a worship segment, rich scripture, and food for thought.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Elizabeth led a Zoom workshop for the women in our church recently. The topic of the workshop was When God Says, “Wait” and, well, God has totally been saying, “wait,” so I signed up. I figured it would be relevant, but what I didn’t expect was to be as deeply encouraged and inspired as I was, especially via a virtual experience! Elizabeth’s vulnerability and willingness to share her heart and raw emotions without hesitancy was very moving. Not only did she share stories from her life, but she tied everything back to the Word and provided multiple passages to remind us of God’s promises, bringing me great encouragement in my own season of waiting.

What a treat to sit with my two daughters and listen as Elizabeth spoke about her book When God Says, “Wait.” Elizabeth made the waiting story of Ruth and Naomi come to life and my captivated eight-year-old child was compelled to jump up and act it out as she listened. I was so inspired by the way Elizabeth emotionally connected with her own waiting stories and those of the women who sent in questions. It is clear that Elizabeth has used the times of waiting in her own life to refine her: the advice she shared was neither trite nor uniform. It was truly an uplifting day!

It was a joy to have Elizabeth speak to over 800 women at our Midwest Women’s Retreat. Elizabeth has an extremely endearing way of conveying God’s truths in a relevant manner for us today. Not only is she faithful to the message in her use of the Bible, but she delivers it with honesty and humor using real-life illustrations… Elizabeth captured the hearts of the women and, more importantly, encouraged each of us to know and love God more.

Elizabeth spoke at our Tampa Women’s Event to over 250 women of all ages and stations. Everyone was captivated and inspired to search for God in the midst of trials and unanswered questions. She uses personal illustrations from everyday life with humor and vulnerability. Elizabeth is a delightful speaker with the uncanny ability to challenge your heart on difficult matters and yet leave you with hope for change and blessings in the days ahead.

I am so grateful to have heard and seen Elizabeth share her heartfelt story at our first virtual women’s workshop! As she openly shared her waiting experiences, it felt as if I were sitting on Elizabeth’s couch in her living room, crying right along with her. Her willingness to be honest and vulnerable spoke to me personally despite the fact that it was digital. Having her speak live instead of prerecorded made it personal and real… less virtual. Thank you for letting God’s Spirit speak through you to encourage me during my waiting.
